Best-selling author Debbi Mack says:

“This book combines the thrills of a supernatural parable-cum-adventure tale with the charm of a coming-of-age story. The protagonist, Hannah, is clever and strong, but touchingly vulnerable. I Was a Seventh Grade Monster Hunter will keep you enthralled until the very end, when you might wonder who the real monsters are.”

FROM THE JOURNALS OF ABRAHAM STOKER (1909) – Preview of Book 1

FROM THE JOURNALS OF ABRAHAM STOKER (1909)

As the final chapter of my life approaches, I am still hopeful that my long campaign in opposition to Evil and its representatives will someday come to an end. I am reminded that my children and their children will see this new, young century of ours very differently than I, and some of our old foes have already made overtures to form a pact that will render our struggles against each other a thing of the past. Though some of Evil’s minions will never surrender their stated goals of dominating all humanity, others have requested peace and to be allowed to seek their fortunes among humans as humans. I have been reluctant to grant these wishes, but now I see the error of my ways. My fellow hunters have sought peace, and I myself have grown tired. This Professor Van Helsing of whom I have written has grown tired under the burden of my pen. Perhaps this pact is more within our reach than we imagine. Perhaps someday one of my venerable line will also accept that our old enemies seek peace. I pray this may be so.

I Was A 7th Grade Monster Hunter (The Stoker Legacy: Book 1) By A. G. Kent

12 year-old Hannah read Grandpa’s note again. What had he been thinking? His letter made her worry even more than before. Maybe he forgot she couldn’t do magic? Who were the allies of mankind and why was she supposed to summon them? She followed the instructions, said the incantation and then waited…and waited. Magic was so much harder than she’d ever thought.

People called Grandpa eccentric; maybe that was why he claimed to come from a long line of monster hunters and why he thought she had ‘skills’. But he always made her feel special – not strange or different – like other people did. So, with the help of the bickering creature crew, she was going to find Grandpa and bring him home.

A.G. Kent has created a story so full of action, strange creatures and peculiar events it makes you wonder how much of this might have been inspired by his own adventures. Whatever the inspiration, the result is an adventure that will keep your favorite ‘tween’ enthralled to the very end.
